Bet On Yourself film titles
For a short film documenting the inspirational story of John Reeve. I worked with the director, Harvey Eaton, to collect handwriting samples from John and use these as the basis for the titles of the film.
Now in his 80s, John had left England after the second world war and sailed the Caribbean, where he became something of cruise ship excursion mogul. And entered the Winter Olympics.

I Â learned John's handwriting myself, studying the examples he'd shared. This meant we could play with some variety in the letters, not only so that the viewer doesn't spot the same 'e' in every title but also to mix up the stroke widths and pen types.
